Nutritional Therapy

Nutritional therapy combines the latest evidence-based research with existing knowledge and wisdom about the healing properties of foods and plants.

There is a growing understanding amongst both the general population and the medical profession that diet plays a very important role in the avoidance of chronic and degenerative conditions such as diabetes, obesity, cancer, arthritis, cardiovascular disease, auto-immune conditions. What is not generally understood, however, is that the “one size fits all” model doesn’t work.

Through recent developments in genetic and functional testing, we see that how we process, absorb, and metabolise food and nutrients varies from person to person. We also have our own lifestyle challenges such as stress, our work/life balance, or family demands etc.

You are clearly curious about your own health, willing to consider making some changes to your diet and lifestyle, and able to commit some time and effort into achieving your health goals. My role is to work closely with you to find a way of eating that helps restore you to optimal health and which fits in with your requirements and lifestyle.

As coach and educator, I will call on my knowledge and experience, supported by test results, to signpost to you foods, lifestyle changes, exercise and where appropriate, to supplements that support your journey.  Working together we can achieve your health goals.

Nutritional Therapy can help with a variety of conditions including:

Allergies/intolerances, IBS/constipation and other digestive issues, fatigue, weight and metabolic problems, diabetes, high cholesterol/blood pressure, mood issues, sleep, skin issues such as eczema, psoriasis, acne, recurrent infections or viruses, auto immune conditions,  thyroid/adrenal problems, women’s health issues e.g. PMS, menopause, PCOS, irregular periods, infertility and many more.

Cancer:  I do not have the specific training for Cancer but can refer you to people who do.

Eating Disorders: Again, specialist training is required to deal with Eating Disorders.  If you have, or suspect you have an Eating Disorder, I can refer you to people who specialise in this area.

Children:  Paediatric Nutrition is a specialist subject. I can refer you to people who specialise.

How We Work Together –
Your Choice…

I offer a choice of either stand-alone appointments or pre-paid packages. The stand-alone appointments are great as a “jumping-off point” while we decide what might be the best course of action for you. They are also helpful if you feel you just need a review of your current health and diet, and a steer in the right direction, or if you prefer to pay as you go along.

The pre-paid packages, which may save you money in the long run, are more appropriate for those who like the motivational format of a structured programme, or who have a long-standing or complex health issue which may take time to work through. Contact me for more details on the pre-paid packages.

I can tailor make a pre-paid package for you, but for example you might want to consider:

2 session package – £289
includes Initial Consultation, 1 x Follow-up, 2 x 20 minute Progress Calls

4 session package – £489
includes Initial Consultation, 3 x Follow-ups, 2 x 20 minute Progress Calls

6 session package – £789
includes Initial Consultation, 5 x Follow-ups, 5 x 20 minute Progress Calls
